About the Place
The Royal Garden - positioned behind the National Art Gallery which once served as a royal palace, was designed and implemented during the palace's construction.
The park around the palace was located on an area of 18 acres and there were several entrances to it. The royal family's carriages passed through the parade entrance. Although only a small part of the garden is preserved today, one can get an idea of its splendor in the past from the old photographs.
A number of exotic trees were planted in the garden, and the avenues were filled with never-before-seen flowers.
The Garden was renovated 4 years ago. Alley pavements and lighting were replaced. New benches and video surveillance cameras were installed.
In recent years the Royal Garden has been a real hit among the residents of the capital!
